More than Food
"More Than Food" was my final bachelor project completed as part of the Sensory Matters Squad at TU Eindhoven. The project focused on reimagining sustainability in the home by exploring living materials, particularly koji fungus. Using the principles of material-driven design and iterative experimentation, I developed a novel paper-mâché koji clay material and applied it to create a functional artifact: a lamp shade. The project emphasized transformation, impermanence, and ecological coexistence, culminating in a ritual handbook that connects users with the artifact's lifecycle.
CHAFF Co.
"ChaffCo." was a collaborative research project undertaken as part of the Sensory Matters Squad at TU Eindhoven. The project explored coffee chaff, a waste byproduct of coffee production, as a potential sustainable design material. Through material-driven design and co-creative processes, we characterized the multisensorial qualities of coffee chaff and developed a product range that included candles, paper, and a pen. This project emphasized sustainability, waste valorization, and emotional design, showcasing how waste materials can be reimagined as valuable and meaningful artifacts.
Lovely Meat Co.
A speculative design project completed as part of the Transformative Practices Squad in my second year of Industrial Design at TU Eindhoven. This project explored the future of cultured meat and reimagined how it could integrate into the home through meaningful interactions and sustainable practices.
Past Projects
Jacket of the Future
Completed during my first year of Industrial Design at TU Eindhoven as part of the Smart to Touch Squad, this project focused on designing a jacket that explores sensory and tangible experiences. The "Jacket of the Future" integrates modularity, innovative fabrics, and transformable features to provide multi-functional solutions for everyday users.
